Video Description:
This was a concept I got from a youth ministry I knew in Mobile, Alabama called "Eutychus." Despite my fair knowledge of scripture, I had to look that one up! Eutychus was the young man who fell asleep while the Apostle Paul was preaching in Acts 20:7-12. He was sitting in an open window on a three-story building. He fell to the street and was killed. Paul did a miracle by raising him from the dead. The analogy is of the current youth generation in the church that has been brought up hearing anointed preaching but has fallen asleep. These young people don't need to simply "accept Jesus" - they need a miraculous raising from the dead.
Anyway, this ministry approached me about doing a short video. They would visit youth groups touring in a bus around the south with a rock band and would minister to church kids in the spirit of revival. They would start the night by showing the video. When the air raid sound effect started they would turn on flashing red siren lights and would launch into a song called "Revolution." I saw the dress rehearsal for it. It was pretty cool.
Their concept for the video was told to me in a few words and I had to take notes and come up with the rest. They wanted Bill Clinton's state of the Union address followed by some of these news clips about school shootings, abortion, homosexual politics, occult religion and other curses that are ravaging today's youth. It took me a solid week of work to pull all of it together because were so many clips and effects. I had done two video productions before this, but this is the project in which I grasped the art of non-linear editing - although I am still learning.
I was proud of the job I did. I exceeded both my clients' expectations and mine. I have no idea how it affected the people who have seen it. It's radical for a church venue. It has lots of shock value, so be forewarned. You can let me know what you think.
I didn't do much with the video after that because the part with Bill Clinton soon became irrelevant. In 2001, I redid it with the 9/11 theme, but it didn't have exactly the same meaning. But then I thought of this when the Democrats were swept back into power: "The state of the union" ... is it really "the best it's ever been"?
"Paul spoke to the people ... Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. 'Don't be alarmed,' he said. 'He's alive!'... The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted" (Acts 20:7-12).

The video isn't anti-Clinton as much as it is telling Chrsitians to wake up.
there lyrics are in german and i'm sure that most of there fans don't even know that
they arent even amerikans
stop pointing the finger... and stop backing it up with media bull... if you really believe in god, how about you let the infallible judge. you're doing a pretty bad job..
but sometimes i question wether it was ever this widespread
