I love how Thomas Doldy is "triggering samples" from a 606 or 707;)
Sry, this was (technically seen) -never- live.
At around the same time, MTV (or some other network, can't remember) produced a show similar to "punked", where one episode featured Herbie Hancock in his own studio being tricked into believing there was a one-second dropout on a 24-track master. The recording in question was this performance, with ALL parts present, being recorded for the Grammys.
It's still nice to listen to, though. ^^
