sorry VICKYSPAN, I love dogs as much as anybody but your video is clearly biased and skews many important facts. First of all, pitbulls are responsible for far more deaths than any other breed. Rottweilers are a close second. Second of all, pitbulls do have extremely powerful jaws. 42% of all dog related deaths in the US are from Pit Bulls - & they constitute 1% of all dogs. 70% of those deaths were children.

I've always wanted to adopt a rehabilitated fighting dog. I don't care how gnarly or ugly, those babies deserve love.

Its funny that there are animals and people in great pain and wish to end the life of misery and pain, but instead of using it to end pain we use it to create more. killing innocent pit bulls put people through much pain, but people (e.g elderly people) who are in great pain and dying cannot be euthanized.
Pit bulls are innocent, its the owners who are the criminals.

i must say tat im pro-pits too. i have a blue and 2 reds. they are very protective of my family everyone loves them in my neighborhood. they really are a very loyal very good breed of dog. its those who raised them wrong with neglect and abuse. i hate it wen ignorant people blame da pits and not the people. i esp hate it wen people comment badly on pits wen they have NEVER had the experience of raising one for their own...i have raised all my pits and i dun loved each moment they have given me

Believing that you have trained, and therefore can make specfic and accurate judgments on how and what kind of behavior, your pit, shepard, rot, elephant, tiger or any other animal for that matter, is going to display is the epitome of ignorance and shows a complete lack of understanding of the basic FACT that at any given time animal behavior is unpredictable. This is Crazy.. People think Phitbulls are bad... they not. All depends on how u Train. I know a Few people including my brother who very well trained the phitbulls. Not aggresive or nothing. Pits are extremely dangerous in the wrong hands, Yes. but if you are nice, take care of them, and *Train* them it changes everything. People always blame the dog when it's the owner's fault...my Pit has had kids trying to piss her off and even so, she wouldn't hurt them. LOL just waits for me to tell the kids to stop! pitbulls where not bred for warfare on battlegrounds. Pitbulls were bred for fighting in the Pit and aggressiveness towards humans is something that was orginally breed out of them. ITs only recently that pitbulls have been breed to be human agressive by backyard breeders. Pitbull for hundreds of years were the perfect companion and Family dog because of there affection towards humans. Check your History.

Wow this video is horrible. This reminds me of hitler justifying how the jews were evil people when we all now the problem was him and his army of followers. First off pitbulls are people friendly, second of all the media will find any reason to target this breed,and anything that makes news as a dog attack or resembles a pitbull is categorized as such this includes, presa canarys,rottweilers,dogo argentinos,am staffs,tosas,american bulldogs and any hybrid. That solution is called temperament testing and certification...they do it in Germany...we could do in the US too...but they would rather just kill them.

I owned a wonderful pit named Josie. She was a blue brindle and the best friend of my child hood. Thank you for this video. Most dogs are what you make them. They will treat you with love and respect if you do the same to them..

Sadly where I live the city does not allow pit types to be adopted out. For years the volunteers and the employees there have been fighting this. The employees have also been sending the pit type pups to rescues and trying to call them a different breed, even at the risk of loosing their jobs. It finally looks as though all their fighting will pay off. They're getting a new shelter building and are suppose to start temp testing the dogs, allowing them to adopt out pit types! Thank you.

People think pitbulls etc are vicious animals but if they are brought up by mature sensible people they will not be vicious!
Its because of these immature people that certian breeds of canine are banned from the UK!!!!!
