The song's meaning is pretty obvious...
It's basically about someone who's found another person he wants to be with for the rest of his life, but they end up having to leave each other for an unknown reason. And he's saying that he doesn't want the other to leave him "without saying goodbye".
The video is a great explanation for the song as well. :)
