The really sad part? The Four students killed weren't even protesters. The National Guard fired a warning shot over the heads of the protesting kids and the bullets hit students walking up on a hill trying to avoid the riot. It was all accidental, the National Guard was actually trying to leave because they saw that their presence was actually hurting, not helping. The whole event was tragic. Even more tragic, people were more disheartened by this than the boys losing their lives in Vietnam.
