| Asshat: Your statement admonishing Mongo from effecting elections is just plain wrong. When the police union backed your son's godfather during Herrington's first election, he won by a margin of around 150 votes, thus sealing this once great city's doom. If it had not been for muckrakers such as Mongo running purely for attention then in all likelihood we would not have the mayor we have today. |

| Herrington did not win the election in 1991. It was rigged by the Memphis Dems. Mayor Richard Hackett could have challenged and easily won with Federal insight but Monsignor Paul Clunan advised him not to do that in order to avoid a repeat of 1968(riots). I know this because Father Clunan was my priest as well when all of this was going on. Many Memphis elections are rigged as I am sure you know since half of your city council is headed for jail. |

| The city is in the condition it is in because both blacks and whites in Memphis have refused to take responsibility for their actions and raise their children with real values. In addition the media in Memphis is too lazy to find a real story and so race is the topic they run to when nothing is happening with no concern as to how their exploitation hurts the community. I love Memphis but have to admit it is the most self destructive city in the U.S. |

| I have lived in Louisville since 1995 which is much smaller than Memphis and it does not have the racial exploitation that Memphis has. I certainly miss home but will not expose my children to that nonsense. Much of the poverty and crime here is white on white whereas african americans are moving into the middle income bracket breaking any stereoview that one could transfer from the Memphis experience. |
