well we will build many parts for the f35, but that wont make it a better plane for our need. the gripen would be better, but what we should have got is the eurofighter that is better then any american plane.

CharzenDK: Im sorry if I wrote the wrong number, But all my sources says 48-56 planes. And sistrucks, they have maybe not signed the paper for the order of the planes, but definitely consider buying them :)
Personaly I hoped Norway should choose the Eurofigther, but they withdrawed. (sorry about my english)

the f22 will not be "stealth" for long. it can be seen and targeted with new tech comming out. and the eurofighter is a multirole fighter. we dont need to hide our planes, they are just superior.

for what we know the eurofighter can see the f22 now, stealth is not everything, like here where we got montains everywhere, radar dont see shit anyways. beginning of ww2 they didnt have radars, but they got eyes so they found the fighters still. remember the f117 was shot down by a missile and that was 10 years ago.

in a dog fight that is close combat then the eurofighter might has something to talk about..but the F-22 is made to fight long Range air combat because of its stealth and missle lock capability, and besides all of that..the f-22 is the most advanced fighter in the world to date thats a fact..I mean u wana talk about what is better I personal think that the Su-37 terminator can probly take down a Eurofighter in close combat

the thing to beat a f22 is not to play its game. when we think armed forces it is defence of the fatherland. we dont build up our armed forces for to go innvading 3 world contries all the time like usa. some idiots here want to run after the american arse like when going for the jsf witch is porly suited for our needs for a fighter, but they are a minority.

We love our F111s. We even purchased a few more from the US retirement home. They are a beautiful plane. Very, very fast and with huge munition loads they still are a plane to be reckon with. But time moves on. As a stop gap measure on the F35s coming we are getting 6 F18 Super Hornets to complement our current 75 F18 Hornets and our F111s . And the push is on for some F22 raptors. As Americas best friend in the Southern Hemisphere it may yet happen.
